In a little corner shop
There lives a mop
Who scrubs the floor each day
He's five feet tall
Leans against the wall
His birthday is in May
He's picked up dirt
Been under skirts
In every corner of the room
It's almost a dance
Like happenstance
Much better than a broom
That mop and water
Is faster than an otter
As a slide upon the tiles
Glides back and forth
And side to side
With soap he's good for miles
His friend is a bucket
From east Nantucket
Together they make a team
In a little corner shop
A bucket and a mop
Together they make it clean
